Spa ConciergeThe Spa Concierge is the first point of contact for guests of the Spa, creating a warm and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. This role schedules guest services, checks guests in and out, and answers questions about Spa services, products, and the Spa environment. The Spa Concierge also sells retail products and keeps treatment providers informed of their daily schedule and guest arrivals.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & SchedulingGreets each guest with a warm welcome and a fond farewell, using guest names at all timesSchedules spa and salon services for individuals and large groups using the spa reservations software systemAccommodates guest requests expediently and courteously, following up to ensure completionHandles guest complaints in a positive manner and ensures guest satisfactionSales & TransactionsPromotes and sells Spa products and services, recommending and upselling spa services to guestsOperates the Spa's point of sale process and handles cash and credit card transactionsEnsures the accuracy of all monies and keeps the bank secure at all timesMaintains responsibility for any assigned keys and their securityTreatment Provider Coordination & Spa OperationsProvides treatment providers with an accurate daily schedule throughout the shiftEnsures treatment providers are aware of the arrival of all guestsNotifies Spa management of maintenance needs and service recovery issuesSets up workstations with necessary supplies and maintains cleanliness throughout the shiftDispenses and serves wineSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.EducationHigh school diploma or GEDExperienceThree plus years of retail experience in an upscale retail environment, such as a 3 diamond Spa, cosmetic retailer, or boutiqueSkills & AbilitiesAbility to provide excellent guest service, remaining calm and courteous and promoting positive relations with everyone who approaches the Spa reception areaAbility to communicate pleasantly and clearly with proper grammar, and to type and write proficiently to produce a quality and timely productProficient in Microsoft programs and other computer software, including accurately requesting, inputting, and accessing data in accordance with Spa specificationsAbility to think clearly and quickly, maintain concentration, and make concise decisionsAbility to prioritize, organize, and follow up, with attention to detailAbility to multi-task between front desk operations, operational issues, and staff member needsAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to perform basic mathematical computationsKnowledge of all Spa services and productsOther RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain Choose an item..Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification and completion of NQRC Alcohol Server TrainingWashington State Food Worker CardHepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinationsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays when required by business needsAbility to maintain consistent, regular attendanceValid driver's license and insurability if operating a Tribal vehicleAbility to work varying schedules to reflect business needs and demands, due to the cyclical nature of the spa industryComply with all rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilitiesSuccessfully complete the training process and attend all required meetings and training sessionsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
