About the Position: Academic Teaching professional position responsible for developing curriculum and lessons plans, and planning and implementing course content and methods to meet the needs of State facility clients. Employees at this level are accountable for classroom discipline and adhering to State and Federal testing guidelines and mandates. Employees may be accountable for accommodating IEPs for individuals with special needs. Employees are also accountable for preparing reports based on client attendance, performance, progress, and skills assimilation. Advanced degree Academic Teachers may be required to also serve as a school administrator.
