Stellar Energy Global Infrastructure strives to add value to today’s energy infrastructure, achieving secure, affordable, and sustainable energy that will help to create a responsible energy economy.\n\n Position Summary \nThe Field Service Technician installs, commissions, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and optimizes industrial cooling, HVAC, and power generation equipment. As the Company's frontline technical representative, this role delivers exceptional customer service while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation. The technician supports Health Assessments, TotalCare service agreements, planned maintenance, emergency service, equipment upgrades, commissioning, and outage activities throughout North America and internationally.\n \nKey Responsibilities \n\n Install, inspect, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial HVAC, cooling, refrigeration, and mechanical systems\n Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance\n Commission new equipment and verify proper system performance\n Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, piping, hydraulic, controls, and instrumentation issues\n Perform Health Assessments and document equipment condition and recommendations\n Support TotalCare service agreements through inspections and performance monitoring\n Conduct vibration analysis, leak detection, pressure testing, thermal profiling, and operational testing\n Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak repairs in accordance with EPA regulations\n Support glycol removal, flushing, winterization/de-winterization, coil replacement, heat exchanger repairs, cooling tower maintenance, and piping modifications\n Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and OEM documentation\n Complete electronic service reports and communicate findings to customers\n Maintain company tools, vehicles, testing equipment, and inventory\n Support emergency outages and on-call assignments\n Train customers and mentor junior technicians\n Identify aftermarket opportunities and recommend equipment upgrades\n Support warranty investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)\n Maintain compliance with OSHA, customer safety requirements, and company policies\n\n\nQualifications\n Required \n\n High school diploma or GED required\n Technical school, military technical training, or associate degree preferred\n 3 - 5 years of industrial field service, maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting experience\n Experience with large industrial HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, refrigeration, or power generation equipment\n Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings\n Knowledge of industrial safety, LOTO, confined space, and safe work practices\n EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred\n OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)\n TWIC (or ability to obtain)\n Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain)\n\n\nPreferred\n\n Air- and water-cooled chillers\n Air-cooled heat exchangers\n Cooling towers\n Plate & frame heat exchangers\n Industrial refrigeration\n Pumps and compressors\n Industrial controls, PLCs, VFDs\n Power generation cooling systems\n Glycol systems\n\n \n \nTechnical Competencies \n\n Mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration troubleshooting\n Commissioning\n Blueprint and P&ID interpretation\n Pressure testing and leak detection\n Root Cause Analysis\n Vibration analysis\n CMMS and mobile service applications\n Microsoft Office\n\n \nWork Authorization \nMust be authorized to work in the USA.\n\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
