Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to the success of our manufacturing operation and offers a broad exposure across multiple areas of human resources. The position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being highly visible, employee-facing, and directly involved in day-to-day HR functions.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update employee information within HRIS (UKG/Kronos preferred).
  • Process new hire transactions and employee record changes.
  • Perform timesheet corrections and provide payroll support.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding sessions.
  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, and company policies.
  • Assist employees with HR systems and self-service tools.
  • Support employee communications and town hall meetings.
  • Maintain confidential personnel records.
  • Partner with management on policy implementation and employee relations matters.
  • Provide front-line HR support as the first point of contact for employees.
Essential Skills
  • 3 to 5 years of HR experience.
  • At least 2 years of HRIS experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • College education.
  • Relevant certifications.
  • Experience with UKG or Kronos.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Approachable and employee-focused.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional when enforcing policies and addressing employee concerns.
  • Self-motivated and resilient.
Work Environment

This is a 100% onsite position, Monday through Friday, 8-5pm, within a fast-paced manufacturing facility housing over 450 employees. The environment is highly visible and employee-focused, where no two days are the same. The HR team is small, which provides opportunities for meaningful impact and exposure to various aspects of human resources. The role demands adaptability, professionalism, and accountability, with approximately 60% of the time spent on HRIS support and 40% on direct employee interaction. The position offers hands-on experience and the chance to learn and grow within a department evolving alongside the business.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
