Lawson Technical Consultant – IPA Specialist
SAIA is seeking an experienced Lawson Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Infor Process Automation (IPA). This consultant will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining IPA flows and integrations to streamline business processes across Finance, HR, Payroll, and Supply Chain modules. The role requires hands-on Lawson technical skills along with the ability to partner closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into automated workflows and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support IPA flows to automate business processes and system integrations.
- Maintain and enhance Lawson ERP applications (Finance, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain).
- Develop custom programs, reports, and interfaces using Lawson 4GL, COBOL, Design Studio, and Landmark tools.
- Collaborate with business and functional teams to identify automation opportunities and build workflow-driven solutions.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and Lawson Security (LSF) administration as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IPA workflow issues, ensuring high system performance and uptime.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and reusable IPA flow templates.
- Support system testing, performance tuning, and optimization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Lawson technical consulting or development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in: Infor Process Automation (IPA) flow development, Landmark and Design Studio, Lawson 4GL / COBOL programming, Lawson Security (LSF).
- Solid background in integrations, interfaces, and reporting (Crystal Reports, SQL, LBI).
- Experience with system upgrades, migrations, and environment management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Infor CloudSuite migration projects.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Shell, Python) for automation and environment support.
- Prior industry experience in transportation, logistics, or enterprise ERP environments.
