Clinical Assistant - Catalyst Medical Center

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care to patients by assisting with diagnostic tests, procedures and treatments ordered by the physician in a family practice environment. This is a part-time (FTE .45) role working 2-3 days per week out of our Chaska and Watertown location. Catalyst Medical Clinic is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions: * Escorts the patient to the Clinical Support area. Take height and weight. Verify visit reason.

• Checks immunization record and update as needed.
• Inquires about medications, allergies, and smoking status at each visit.
• Take BP, temperature, pulse, respiration, head and chest measurement

pertinent to exam.

• Prepares room as needed for specified visit type.
• Assists with laceration and set up surgical tray.
• Assists with excision of moles or lesions. Give specimen to lab for send out.
• Administers injection, SQ, IM, and ID.
• Retrieves calls regarding patient health problems, documents and routes

calls. * Calls in new prescriptions and refills to the pharmacy after provider has reviewed and approved. * Calls patient with normal lab results, or normal results that have been reviewed by the physician with specific instructions by provider. * Checks provider’s out box and review all papers in the box to ensure they are initialed by the provider prior to going to medical records for scanning.

• Fully participate and contribute to the patient centered health care home.
• Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• Medical Assistant, LPN or CNA preferred
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred

• Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.

Working Conditions: * Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. * Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift. * Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.

• Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
• Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone,
