Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Carr Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and surgery. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment — balancing exam room care, surgical support, and client communication. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital. Who You Are: Licensed RVT in good standing in North Carolina Out-of-state credentialed technicians eligible to transfer their license to NC Recent graduates actively awaiting VTNE results or in the licensure process Experienced Veterinary Assistants who are currently pursuing or planning to pursue their RVT licensure What You’ll Do: Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identify patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $20 - 23 per hour, for each hour worked (based on skills and credentials) Schedule: This is a full-time position , working approximately 4.5 days per week, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. No weekends and no on-call requirements.
