Float Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare facility in Portland, OR 97227 . Job Details Schedule: 6 am-6 pm Location: Portland, OR 97227 Job Type: local contract Contract Length: 3 months Pay Range: $20/hr to $23/hr The candidate can apply for mileage reimbursement. *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles. Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures. Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy. Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients. Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols. Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates. Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training. Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 to 4Years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting. Pedi and geri drawing skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite..
