Chronic Registered Nurse Alternate Job Titles: Hemodialysis RN Renal Registered Nurse Dialysis Treatment Nurse Chronic Kidney Care RN Outpatient Dialysis RN Location: Canonsburg, PA Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details: Duration: 3 months Start Date: ASAP Pay Range: Not provided Shift/Hours: Not specified Job Summary As a Chronic Registered Nurse , you will deliver safe and effective hemodialysis care for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD). This position includes direct care responsibilities, patient education, team leadership, and quality improvement participation within a collaborative health care environment. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments pre-, during-, and post-dialysis Collaborate on treatment plans and adjust based on patient response Document all care activities in patient records Educate patients and families about treatment and transplant options Supervise care provided by PCTs, LPNs/LVNs, and other RNs as appropriate Administer medications per physician order or clinical algorithms Participate in emergency response and initiate CPR if needed Ensure lab collections, shipping, and processing protocols are followed Engage in training and orientation of new staff Required Experience At least 1 year of nephrology nursing experience within the last 2 years Minimum of 3 months of chronic/acute hemodialysis experience as an RN 9+ months RN experience required for team leadership or charge roles Ability to lift up to 200 lbs (with assistance); prolonged standing and bending required Nice-to-Have Experience Leadership in dialysis settings Teaching or preceptorship of new staff Multi-site or travel nurse experience Required Skills Hemodialysis treatment and documentation Medication administration and patient monitoring Patient education and interdisciplinary care planning Emergency response and CPR Preferred Skills Experience in transplant patient education Staff supervision in a healthcare setting Quality assurance in a clinical environment Additional Skills Proficiency with medical equipment and lab procedures Strong communication and team collaboration GTT is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr Global Technical Talent, an Inc. 5000 Company
