Labor & Delivery Nurse Labor & Delivery
Schedule: Every other weekend required On-call: Up to one on-call shift every 2 weeks if low census
Assignment Details: Orientation: Reduced Non-Billable Orientation (0 hours NBO) Staffing standards: AWHONN staffing standards in place
Requirements: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in Labor & Delivery and postpartum care Valid state nursing license required; Compact license must be in hand at submission References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years (can include Charge RNs/Lead)
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and their newborns. Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout the labor process. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and per protocol. Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Assist in the management of emergencies within the labor and delivery unit.
Compliance / Notes: Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day Do not contact facility directly for interviews or inquiries unless directed by the recruiter Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
