Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Location

Fargo, ND | Level IV NICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a verified Level IV NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation
• Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement , IV starts, and patient admissions
• Perform neonatal assessments and manage umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, OG/NG feedings, and G-tubes
• Administer oral and IV medications; must be able to administer medications through a PICC line
• Operate unit equipment including conventional and high-frequency ventilators (Draeger, jet, oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion/Smart pumps, and Spacelab monitors
• Float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience, with Level IV NICU experience required
• Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license (willingness to obtain ND licensure considered)
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Ability and willingness to float to PICU and Pediatrics; skills checklists for these areas required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic (EMR) charting highly preferred
• Familiarity with MAK medication administration and Accudose systems
• Experience with nitric oxide therapy and cooling (cool cap) protocols
