Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties:

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Maintain floors through regular sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Carry out custodial duties such as trash removal, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep of the building.
• Respond to cleaning requests promptly and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Support residential painting projects as needed to maintain the aesthetic quality of the facilities.
• Act as a porter by ensuring supplies are stocked and available for use in cleaning operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in clinical/healthcare/commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment operation is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and meet all applicable security requirements as a condition of employment. This may include, but is not limited to, verification of identity, employment history, criminal history, and eligibility for access to government facilities or systems. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining these requirements.
