Associate Director Operational Excellence

Associate Director leading operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives at a major animal health manufacturing facility in Kansas. Role combines lean coaching with project management to drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements across production operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead lean improvement projects using standardization, 5S, value stream mapping, and other lean tools
- Provide hands-on support for operational problem-solving using scientific and analytical techniques
- Coach and develop colleagues across organizational levels on lean methodologies and continuous improvement
- Facilitate value-scouting workshops and lead complex cost-reduction and productivity initiatives
- Establish lean roadmaps and oversee regional cost-saving project governance and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in project management, biology, engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years continuous improvement experience in biopharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or quality
- Demonstrated coaching experience embedding continuous improvement in departments
- Proficiency with data analysis, trend visualization, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience deploying lean tools and concepts across multiple operational environments
- Strong project facilitation and management capabilities with cross-functional teams
- Lean training and change management expertise with ability to influence at all organizational levels
Compensation: $129,000–$203,100 base
