Express Employment is seeking a Robot Weld Technician in Shelbyville, KY. This person will work Friday - Sunday 6am to 6pm. Must have previous experience with Robotics and welding (Gas Metal arc MIG).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program robotic welding systems to automate welding tasks and optimize production efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of robotic welders to ensure peak performance and prevent downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues , including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate placement and weld quality
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize weld parameters and robotic programming
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards to protect personnel and equipment
- Train other staff on the operation and maintenance of robotic welding systems when required
- Technical expertise in robotics and automated welding systems , including MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC and familiarity with robotic control software
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to quickly resolve mechanical or programming issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications accurately
- Attention to detail and precision , essential for high-quality welds and consistent production output
- Physical stamina to work in demanding environments, including standing for long periods and handling repetitive tasks
