The Anticipated Food Service II position at Red Land High School is available. It is a 7 hours per day, 179 days per year position. Required skills include a high school diploma. The minimum pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Knowledge and ability to perform job function: Assist in meal preparation including, but not limited to, the use of commercial ovens, slicers, food choppers, and can openers. Assist in the serving of meals, cleaning of all food service areas, assists in handling foods and supplies, stands for long periods of time, and performs such other tasks and responsibilities necessary for the operation of the kitchen. Must be able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.

Title: Food Services II

Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. One to two years institutional cooking experience. 3. Working knowledge of cash register and food services record keeping. 4. Compliance with Employment Eligibility, all required background clearances and Physical Examination/TB test standards. 5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Supervised by: Food Services I, building principal, food services management personnel, and the Director of Federal Programs.

Job Goal: To assist the Food Services I in providing an efficient and nutritious school breakfast/lunch program.

Essential Job Functions: 1. Performs the meal preparation including, but not limited to, food serving, following recipes and production menus, operating commercial ovens, slicers, food choppers, can openers, and cash register. 2. Coordinates the activities of Food Services III and IV. 3. Cleans the food service/loading dock areas including, but not limited to, wiping tables, mopping floors, cleaning the dish machine, food service equipment, walls, restrooms, and washing pots, pans and trays to meet Department of Agriculture standards. 4. Assists and assumes managerial duties as assigned by Food Services I. 5. Completes production records and other required paperwork, prepares daily deposit, monitors student accounts, and notifies parents about account balances. 6. Assists and assumes responsibility for the ordering and inventory of foods and supplies for multiple locations, as directed. 7. Assists with receipt, storage, and transfer of product or supplies for multiple locations. 8. Reads and correctly interprets written materials and performs accurate math computations related to the functions of the position.

Job Description Page 2 FOOD SERVICES II 9. Stands for extended periods of time, lifts up to sixty (60) pounds, and demonstrates good hand and eye coordination. 10. Assists in coordinating and providing with the continued on-the-job training for new and substitute employees at multiple locations. 11. Works in all types of conditions with potential exposure to dirt, grease, noise, heat, temperature variations, hazardous materials, or poor ventilation, allergens, insect bites, and sunlight. 12. Possesses and maintains valid ServSafe certification (or other acceptable food safety and sanitation certification) as deemed necessary. 13. Works during established operating hours and works extra time as needed and approved. 14. Ensures the highest degree of confidentiality appropriate to the position. 15. Complies with provisions of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Support Bargaining Unit Personnel Handbook. 16. Complies with District, state, and federal safety procedures and regulations as outlined in District documents and trainings. 17. Works cooperatively with supervisor, building administrators, staff, students, and the public as appropriate. 18. Projects positive image when dealing with the staff, students, and the public. 19. Serves as a resource person on District policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as relevant to position. 20. Substitutes temporarily at other locations, as necessary. 21. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as from time to time may be assigned by the supervisor.

Terms of Employment: 1. According to annual work calendar; essentially, the pupil year. 2. Compensation as per District guidelines.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Food Services I with input from the Director of Federal Programs, food service management personnel, and the building principal, in accordance with the Board policy on evaluation of support personnel.
