Are you interested in accounting, finance, business, or public administration and looking for hands-on experience? The Joliet Public Library is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Business Office / Finance Assistant Intern to join our team!

In this role, you’ll gain practical experience supporting the day-to-day operations of a public library’s Business Office, with exposure to accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, financial recordkeeping, reporting, and general office administration . You’ll work closely with the Business Manager and have the opportunity to contribute to special projects and process-improvement initiatives.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field
• Organized, dependable, and highly detail-oriented
• Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets
• A strong communicator who works well independently and as part of a team
• Eager to learn new software, systems, and procedures
• Able to handle confidential information with professionalism

Previous office, accounting, finance, customer service, or administrative experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn and grow is just as important .
