Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Location: VA Portland Health Care System locations in Portland, OR; Vancouver, WA; and Salem, OR.

GD Resources LLC is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide full-time diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging services in support of the VA Portland Health Care System.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound and vascular studies.
• Perform portable and intra-operative ultrasound examinations.
• Conduct abdominal, pelvic, vascular, renal, liver, carotid, venous and arterial Doppler studies.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided biopsies, aspirations and catheter-placement procedures.
• Prepare and position patients and explain procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Document examinations and transfer images to PACS/HIS/RIS.
• Maintain sterile technique, infection control and reusable medical equipment requirements.
• Support emergency, inpatient, ICU and ED examinations as required. document (1)

Minimum Qualifications

• Current ARDMS registration in Abdomen/Small Parts .
• At least two additional ultrasound credentials , such as RVT, OB/GYN, Musculoskeletal, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of current ultrasound experience .
• Recent hospital experience within the last 6 months , including inpatient, ED and ICU coverage.
• Current BCLS/BLS .
• Experience with guided biopsy, renal Doppler, renal transplant studies and vascular ultrasound. document (1)

Schedule: Full-time. Shifts may be 8, 9 or 10 hours and may include rotating weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call and callback coverage.
