Job Title: CT Technologist (Weekend Nights)

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: Overnight Weekend Shift
Schedule: Saturday Night & Sunday Night | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (16 Hours Weekly)

Compensation

Pay Rate: $60 – $65/Hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a diagnostic imaging team for a weekend overnight assignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations while ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging standards, and adhering to radiation protection guidelines. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic Imaging

• Perform CT examinations according to established departmental protocols and physician orders.
• Utilize appropriate imaging techniques and exposure settings to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging results.
• Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness prior to submission for interpretation.
• Ensure timely transmission and documentation of imaging studies.

Patient Care

• Prepare and educate patients regarding CT procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.
• Verify patient identity and examination orders before procedures.
• Respond appropriately to patient concerns and emergency situations.

Radiation Safety & Compliance

• Follow radiation safety standards and maintain compliance with ALARA principles.
• Perform daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and departmental policies.

Documentation & Operations

• Maintain patient imaging records and electronic documentation.
• Retrieve and manage imaging studies for radiologist review.
• Coordinate patient-specific imaging requirements and workflow priorities.
• Report equipment issues or maintenance concerns promptly.

Required QualificationsEducation

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Current ARRT CT Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of recent CT Technologist experience.
• Experience performing diagnostic CT examinations in a clinical or hospital setting.
