Medical/Surgical - MedSurg RN - Travel Nurse We are seeking a Medical/Surgical RN for an immediate travel nurse assignment in Richmond, VA. Candidates should have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold a current BLS certification. This role will involve providing bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients. Responsibilities Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician. Requirements BLS certification required. 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds as needed. Adaptability to a fast‑paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative. Employment Type Full‑time travel assignment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
