This role requires compassionate care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.Essential ResponsibilitiesAdhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Maintain professional communication and collaborative relationships with patients, families, healthcare teams, and external agencies.Practice within the scope defined by the licensing board and demonstrate competency in occupational therapy care.Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop, implement, review, and maintain individualized care plans.Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions and health management.Complete accurate and timely documentation according to policy standards.Provide clinical guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.General ResponsibilitiesPerform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not include supervisory or management duties.Minimum QualificationsEducation meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.Current Occupational Therapy licensure through the appropriate state board.Valid BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.Driver's license and auto insurance meeting state requirements if driving is necessary for the role.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a similar clinical environment is advantageous.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.Effective communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary teams.Basic proficiency with computer systems and documentation software.Physical RequirementsThis role involves medium work, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent standing or walking for 26-50% of the workday.Join a dedicated healthcare team serving the needs of the Midwest region, offering competitive pay and a supportive work environment where your contributions truly matter.
