Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to pediatric patients in a 10-bed PeriAnesthesia unit
• Deliver specialized postoperative care for pediatric patients in a Surgical Observation setting, including extended recoveries up to 23 hours
• Monitor and assess pediatric patients following surgical procedures, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as required
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) state license (must be in hand prior to start date)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates are not accepted for this unit)
• Must not exceed 365 total assignment days per facility separation policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a pediatric PACU or perioperative setting strongly preferred
• Nursys verification on file at time of submission
