Assistant Property/Community Manager (Palo Alto, CA)

LHH is teaming up with a well-established real estate management organization in Palo Alto, CA in search of an Assistant Property/Community Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a residential portfolio consisting of single-family homes and multifamily properties.

This is a great opportunity to join a stable and collaborative property management team with decades of industry presence. The role offers hands-on exposure to a diverse residential portfolio while working closely with an experienced property leader. The ideal candidate will bring prior property management experience, with a strong preference for experience supporting single-family homes and market-rate properties. This individual is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with on-site property support. A strong customer service mindset is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and internal team members. Candidates who are proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day operations across a portfolio of residential properties, including single-family and multifamily units
• Show apartment units and common areas to prospective residents
• Distribute and collect rental applications and assist with leasing documentation under supervision
• Assist with tenant communication, correspondence, and follow-ups
• Conduct move-in and move-out walkthroughs for documentation purposes
• Support property inspections and maintenance tracking
• Schedule and monitor maintenance requests, repairs, and unit turnovers
• Assist with preparing market analysis reports for leadership review
• Maintain accurate property and company records
• Provide general administrative support to the property management team

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of property management or real estate experience (REQUIRED)
• Experience supporting single-family and market-rate properties (REQUIRED)
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (REQUIRED)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems independently
• Experience with property management systems such as AppFolio or Yardi is preferred

Job Type: Direct Hire

Start Date: ASAP (target start by mid-June)

Location: Fully on-site in Palo Alto, CA

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
