Electrical Reliability Engineer Garfield, UT, United States | req29802 Responsibilities: Ensure safe and reliable operations of electrical systems across air separation, CO₂, liquid hydrogen, HyCO, and other industrial gas production facilities. Act as primary technical resource for low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution equipment including switchgear, transformers, synchronous motors, and induction motors. Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs such as transformer oil analysis, thermography, and partial discharge testing, ensuring timely resolution of findings. Identify and resolve chronic electrical asset issues and eliminate recurring equipment failures. Develop and execute small electrical projects ( Plan long‑term corrective actions for electrical reliability threats and aging infrastructure. Analyze equipment performance data to ensure optimal operation of regional electrical assets. Support cost estimation for corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and electrical project work. Assist with turnaround planning and execution for regional electrical systems. Lead root cause analysis for major electrical failures and implement corrective actions. Drive resolution of high‑impact electrical issues with urgency and technical accuracy. Serve as the regional electrical maintenance engineer supporting the Magna, UT facility and surrounding region. Perform combined office and field work with approximately 25% domestic travel and occasional off‑hours accessibility. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with more than five (5+) years of maintenance/reliability engineering experience focused on electrical assets, OR non‑degree holder with 15+ years of equivalent electrical maintenance/reliability experience in industrial manufacturing. Proven experience with electrical distribution systems including installation and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high‑voltage switchgear, transformers, synchronous motors, and induction motors. Knowledge of electrical preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies, tools, and technologies. Ability to work independently and within technical teams to manage tasks and drive results. Experience using CMMS systems and proficiency with standard software packages (MS Office, email, etc.). Ability to manage multiple technical tasks with minimal supervision and deliver results. Effective communication skills for technical documentation.
