Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly
• Supervise clinical staff and delegate appropriate patient care responsibilities
• Support nursing leadership in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Contribute to competency oversight of clinical staff at the unit level
• Assist with appropriate resource management related to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan or compact eligibility
• Experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing setting
• Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patient care across a shift
• Ability to supervise and delegate to clinical support staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience supporting nursing leadership or charge nurse responsibilities
• Familiarity with resource management and staffing coordination at the unit level
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
