To prosper as a Registered Dental Assistant, you should have:

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of California
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiation Safety (X-ray) certification
• Coronal polishing and pit & fissure sealant certifications, where applicable
• At least 2 years of continuous dental assisting experience
• Proficiency in chairside assisting for general dentistry procedures, including restorative, crown & bridge, extractions, and endodontic treatment
• Experience taking high-quality digital X-rays
• Experience with impressions (PVS and/or digital scanning preferred) and fabrication of temporary restorations
• Strong understanding of dental materials, instruments, infection control, sterilization protocols, and OSHA compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-provider environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with Dentrix, Dentrix Core, or similar practice management software is preferred
• Experience with digital scanners (iTero, TRIOS, or similar) is a plus

More about your role as a Registered Dental Assistant:

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort throughout treatment
• Assist chairside during a variety of general dentistry procedures, including fillings, cleanings, root canals, extractions, crown and bridge work, implants, and same-day treatment workflows
• Take high-quality digital radiographs
• Take impressions, assist with digital scanning, and fabricate temporary restorations as needed
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments while maintaining OSHA and infection control standards
• Set up and break down operatories, ensuring treatment rooms are clean, organized, and ready for each patient
• Prepare instruments, materials, and trays in advance of scheduled procedures
• Collect and accurately record medical and dental histories
• Complete accurate charting, route slips, consents, and other clinical documentation
• Deliver clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients
• Support efficient schedule flow by turning rooms quickly and minimizing provider downtime
• Assist across providers and hygiene as needed to support the team
• Participate in morning huddles and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional patient care with a calm, reassuring presence
