Freight DispatcherArizona Office - Phoenix, AZ 85035OverviewSalary Range $23.00 HourlyAbout the RoleQuicksilver Express Courier is an on-demand delivery company looking to hire a full time Freight Dispatcher Coordinator.If you are detail oriented and able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, then this is the position for you!MUST be reliable!MUST work well with others!This is not an entry-level or customer support position. You will be responsible for managing a fleet, adjusting routes in real time, and ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and on schedule.Dispatch and coordinate daily routes for a local fleetBuild efficient routes and adjust based on real-time conditionsManage multiple drivers handling time-sensitive deliveriesMonitor delivery progress and resolve issues quicklyCoordinate with warehouse staff on freight movement and dock schedulesPrioritize urgent shipments and maintain service levelsTrack shipments and maintain accurate system updatesEnsure driver productivity and route efficiencyCoach new drivers as part of their on-the-job training, providing additional instruction and guidance.Requirements (Must Have):Previous freight dispatch or logistics coordination experienceExperience managing multiple drivers/routes simultaneouslyAbility to think quickly and make decisions under pressureStrong organizational and multitasking skillsClear communication with drivers and operations teamsFamiliarity with the Phoenix metro areaReliable attendance and strong work ethicPreferred:Experience freight dispatching local delivery or courier driversBackground in time-sensitive or same-day logisticsQualificationsHigh school diploma/GED requiredStrong knowledge of the metro and surrounding areasBackground experience in a dispatch environment with problem resolution skillsExhibit a strong attention to detailAbility to work in a team environment in high pressure situationsStrong written and oral communication skills are essentialAbility to Multi-taskMust be reliable and punctual - maintain excellent attendanceBasic computer skills -- will use windows-based softwareBasic to advanced typing skills - Minimum 34 words per minuteCapable of working in a fast-paced environmentPrevious dispatch experience required.
