Our client is looking to fill the role of Sneior Manager.This newly created role, Senior Manager, Global Tax and Technical Accounting, is responsible for overseeing US and global tax compliance, tax accounting, technical accounting matters and related internal controls. It will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting, timely filings, and strong governance across U.S. and international jurisdictions. $170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits Responsibilities Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including deferred tax calculations and disclosures. Prepare annual state and local nexus studies and apportionment to support income tax compliance and planning. Advise on implications of hiring remote workers, employee relocations and other business activities that may create state or local nexus, including new international markets. Manage relationships with external tax return preparers and advisors. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns. Plan and execute the transition to bring tax return preparation in-house. Oversee indirect tax compliance, including sales/use tax, VAT, and other transactional taxes as applicable. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on company’s tax position and reporting requirements. Manage inquiries from federal, state, and international tax authorities; coordinate responses and documentation. Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors on complex tax matters and filings. Provide guidance on tax implications of business initiatives, including new market expansion. Monitor permanent establishment risk in new markets, assessing business activities, local presence and operating models to identify and mitigate potential foreign tax exposure. Maintain a complete inventory of international tax filings and information returns, and ensure all required filings are prepared, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time. Oversee transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, including policy design, arm’s-length analysis, documentation and coordination of intercompany agreements. Work with external advisors on benchmarking studies, local file support, and audit responses. Research and document accounting treatment for complex or unusual transactions in accordance with US GAAP. Monitor emerging accounting and tax guidance and assess impact on the company’s reporting and compliance. Maintain, update, and improve tax and accounting process documentation, policies and controls. Design, implement and monitor controls over tax and accounting processes in alignment with COSO framework. Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Operations on transactions, equity matters, and other business initiatives with tax or accounting implications. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required. 5–8 years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting and/or corporate tax environment. Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax regulations; exposure to international tax. Experience with cross-border transfer pricing, including intercompany transactions, arm’s length analyses, documentation, and coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
