Full Time Cook

Position Full‑Time Cook (7 hours daily) Reporting Food Service Director Location Martin Warren Elementary School Qualifications High School diploma preferred. Two years of related kitchen experience. Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe. Key Responsibilities All bakery foods for breakfast, lunch and catering. Wipe counters with sanitizing solution first thing in the morning. Help with breakfast as needed. Clean own pots/pans, carts, work table and sweep work area before serving. Prepare for next day. Check that all items necessary for next day’s use are available and report to manager if not. Set up hot food on line 1 for serving. Serve and refill on line 1 as needed. Remove all food from line 1. Put away all bakery foods, deciding with manager whether to use tomorrow or freeze for future use, adhering to recommendations set by the state department of health. Responsible for following cleaning schedule as written by manager. Observe all policies in food service handbook. Be at work regularly and at scheduled time. Call manager the day before if not able to be at work the following day. Daily hours subject to change based on meal participation. Adhere to safety and sanitation as recommended by the state department of health. Display courteous, cooperative, professional, and supportive attitude at all times with students, teachers, co‑associates and management. Help with special activities as needed. All job responsibilities subject to change or redirection by Kitchen Manager or Food Service Director. Terms of Employment Part‑time food service staff are employed for 180 days. Compensation is according to the non‑certified salary schedule and based upon position category, experience, and years of service. Non‑certified benefits are offered according to full versus part‑time status, and explained in the district's benefit brochure. Evaluation Performance will be evaluated by the Food Manager and the Food Service Director in accordance with board policies of the Warrensburg R‑VI School District.
