Role Description This full-time Physical Therapist Assistant role is a hybrid position based in Overland Park, KS, with some teletherapy flexibility depending on client needs and scheduling. The Physical Therapist Assistant will support licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans, focusing on functional mobility, strength, balance, and pain reduction for individuals with disabilities. Daily responsibilities include providing direct patient care, monitoring progress, documenting treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote person-centered rehabilitation outcomes. The role also involves educating individuals and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, and use of adaptive equipment. The Physical Therapist Assistant will help ensure that services are delivered in a manner that promotes inclusion, community participation, and high-quality patient care. Commitment to person-centered care, inclusion, and respect for diverse backgrounds and abilities. Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to implement therapeutic exercises and functional mobility interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Experience providing Quality Patient Care and Patient Care, including monitoring patient responses, documenting progress accurately, and adjusting activities to support safety and comfort. Knowledge of Orthopedics, including basic understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical precautions, and appropriate therapeutic approaches. Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Kansas, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate electronic documentation.
