About the Hospital Rex is a private, not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the UNC Health Care System. The hospital consists of 660 beds including a heart center, family birth center, cancer center, convalescent care center, adult care center, and wellness center. The main campus has approximately 40 anesthetizing sites including 24 main operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms, 3 OB suites, 6 procedure rooms and a variety of out‑of‑department locations (EP, TAVRs, Hybrid MRI). The Anesthesia Department is composed of approximately 30 anesthesiologists, 80+ CRNAs and has an affiliation with the UNC Greensboro School of Nurse Anesthesia. We practice in a care team model in a collegial atmosphere that allows us to effectively care for our patients in 25 subspecialties, including General, Ortho, Neuro, EP, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac, Bariatrics, Endoscopy, OB, Ophthalmology, and limited pediatrics.
