Your contributions will be vital, collaborating as a resource for students in a supportive junior high environment. With the school year spanning from September 28, 2026, through June 4, 2027, you’ll be working with dedicated staff committed to inclusive education and student success.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) and LBS1 endorsement in the state of Illinois.
• Prior experience in a special education setting, particularly with middle school students, preferred.
• Strong skills in creating and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Effective communicator, adept at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, primarily in a resource setting.
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs to ensure student progress.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and implement accommodations.
• Monitor student growth and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families and staff.
• Cultivate an inclusive, respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes resilience and confidence.
