Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED

• Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care
• Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion
• Assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response
• Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients
• Prepare and coordinate transport for higher levels of care
• Conduct triage assessment and prioritize based on ESI guidelines
• Implement isolation and infection control protocols
• Document and reassess in fast-paced environments

Requirements of the RN - ER/ED

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
• Strong triage and critical thinking skills
• Experience in trauma and cardiac alerts, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
