Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or relevant critical care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Stroke certification required
• Must not be a local candidate; travel candidates only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity cardiovascular patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new facility environments and protocols
