ProSidian is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Human Capital (HC) Reasonable Accommodations [DOE003008]. This is a full-time position located CONUS - NVA DC/MD/VA, with telework options across the Mid Atlantic Region. The role operates in a highly regulated environment focused on energy policy, nuclear security, and environmental management.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide services and support as a Personal Assistance Services (PAS) in the Energy, Resources, And Industrials Industry Sector, focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). This position may be a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Aiding Department of Energy (DOE) employees with targeted disabilities in performing daily living activities.
• Providing assistance with dressing, eating, using the restroom, and mobility support.
• Offering specialized support like reader services, sighted guidance, and scheduling assistance.
• Ensuring compliance with federal regulations, including the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
• Coordinating with the DOE's Human Capital team and other relevant departments.

The role requires not only technical medical skills but also a deep commitment to the well-being and success of the employees they support.

Qualifications

Minimum standard qualifications for the role include:

• Certification: Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and hold a current CMA certification.
• Education: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of a postsecondary program in medical assisting.

Required experience includes:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.

Required technical skills include:

• Clinical proficiency in tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering injections, and assisting with patient exams.
• Technical competence with electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical billing and coding, and basic medical procedures.
• Knowledge of assistive technologies relevant to patients with disabilities.

Required communication skills include:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills to explain medical procedures and care instructions to patients.

Required project management skills include:

• Experience in managing small-scale healthcare projects.

Required leadership abilities include:

• Leadership qualities in decision-making, problem-solving, and mentoring.
• Team collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to continuing education is essential due to the evolving nature of medical practices and technologies.
