Chassis Driver & Lot AttendantSUMMARY: Chassis Driver & Lot Attendant is the contact for all incoming chassis and outgoing finished goods to customers and / or transportation companies. In this role, Chassis Driver & Lot Attendant will oversee the processes associated with the movement of chassis and finished goods while inbound, on the KC campuses, and outbound from the KC campuses.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Fully understand how to operate and safely drive chassisPrepares units for transport with chassis and body modifications as needed to accommodate for transport and drive-awayWorks within all safety guidelines to ensure an efficient and safe transfer processPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripNotify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues encounteredAttending and participating in training and meetingsEnsuring vehicles are clean and presentableEnsuring the lot is organized, clean, and free from trash, litter, and debrisArranging and parking vehicles in designated lot areasGuaranteeing dealership license plate frames are affixed to vehiclesChecking new vehicles are displaying factory and addendum stickers and selling priceOverseeing and maintaining keysReplacing sold vehicles and empty spaces with new inventory, and ensuring most marketable vehicles are put on display firstInforming supervisor of issues as they ariseComplying with all company policies and proceduresAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditionsAlways make safety a priorityPerforms other duties as requested by managementQUALIFICATIONS:HS Diploma or GED requiredValid driver's license required2+ years proven experience in truck driving preferredClean driving record with no moving violationsMust pass background check and drug testSkilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehiclesAlert, focused, and detail-orientedPhysically and mentally fitAbility to lift to 50 lbs. at a timePossess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shiftsAble to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.Proficient using GPS and other routing systemsMap reading and route planning experienceAn innate sense of directionSelf-starter who works well independentlyDisciplined, dependable, and resourcefulHigh level of composure and good stress managementWhy Aebi Schmidt Group?Our people are our greatest asset, and your success is our success!
