Job Summary and Qualifications

Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. Performs all Sonographic exams following defined protocols. Observant of patients' conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences. Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required. Understands and operates electronic information systems. Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment. Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography and meet educational requirements of ARDMS. Takes call after regular hours. Registered or registry eligible by RDMS or ARRT.

Experience Preferred: 2-3 Years experience as a RT or Sonographer Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in a hospital Ultrasound Department. Education Required: ARDMS eligible. Preferred: BLS Certification Preferred Required: ARDMS certification. Hours: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8am-9pm
