Description:The Clinical Nurse II is an RN who practices as a full partner on the healthcare team.This role consistently demonstrates safe practice within the organizational professional practice model.The Clinical Nurse II possesses the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to meet standards for competent professional nursing practice.This position exhibits organizational core values that reflect its mission.The Clinical Nurse II independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process.Accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients is a key responsibility.Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to adult.The Clinical Nurse II demonstrates competency in Patient and Family Centered Care, Evidence Based Practice and Research, Safety, Continuous Quality Improvement, Teamwork, Technology/Informatics, Professionalism, and Leadership.Collaboration with the inter-professional healthcare team facilitates coordination of care across the continuum.The nurse focuses on expanding knowledge and skills to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-appropriate considerations.Feedback is sought to assume leadership roles and also to provide input for improved clinical practice.The impact of nursing practice on the organizational vision, mission, and goals is demonstrated.Compliance with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies is required.
