About the Position

Job Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Knowledge and skills in orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatry procedures Ability to float between units not required On-call requirement: 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays Description: This position requires experience in a surgical setting with a focus on patient care. The expected patient ratio is 1:1. The role entails responsibilities in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to: - Amputations - Arthroscopy - Cholecystectomy - Hernia repairs - Total joint replacements Strong skills in infection control and knowledge of emergency response procedures are essential. The candidate should possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities, as interdisciplinary support is provided. This position will not float between different facilities. Weekends are not required, and block scheduling is not necessary. The candidate must provide 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
