Attorney - First Party Defense

Attorney with first-party insurance defense experience need to join high profile firm.   In this role you will defend first-party property claims and litigation..

Ideal Candidates will have the following Credentials:

• Excellent academic credentials (top 25% of class rank)
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
• Experience conducting depositions and inspections, appearing in court and arguing motions, and assisting in mediation and trial

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of first-party insurance defense litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies, coverage issues, and claim investigations.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in litigation.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Work closely with insurance adjusters, claims representatives, and corporate clients to develop defense strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Texas insurance laws, court deadlines, and ethical obligations.
• Provide legal opinions and coverage evaluations to clients.
