RN PACU

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is seeking a motivated RN PACU to join our team . We have 8 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colon Rectal, Neurological, GYN, Oculoplastic, Orthopedic, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, General, Plastic & Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient recovery, able to respond swiftly in critical situations, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Deliver compassionate, efficient care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications following surgery Manage airway, pain control, and vital signs until patients meet discharge criteria Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly Administer medications and respond to changes in patient status using sound clinical judgment Provide patient education and post-op instructions to patients and their families Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow RNs to ensure seamless transitions of care Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards at all times Qualifications Current RN license in the state of Texas, in good standing BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS a plus) 1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing preferred Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting is a plus What We Offer As an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following, subject to employment status: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Life and AD&D coverage Availability of short- and long-term disability Flexible financial benefits including FSAs and HSAs 401(k) and access to retirement planning Paid holidays and vacation Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
