Job Title: Structural Welder (Pulse Arc)

Pay: $45/hr + $140 per diem

Shift: Day/Night Shifts Available with OT

Location: Goose Creek, SC

Responsibilities

• Perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using appropriate welding metals and metal alloys.
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, layouts, blueprints, and specifications to determine weld locations, sequence, and techniques.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters for pulse arc, MIG, and flux core welding processes as required for each job.
• Lay out, fit, and position components and assemblies prior to welding to ensure accurate alignment and fit-up.
• Inspect welds visually and, where applicable, using basic measurement tools to verify that work meets quality and dimensional requirements.
• Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other established quality procedures.
• Perform fabrication tasks related to welding, such as cutting, grinding, and preparing materials for weld operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures in the shop environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve issues related to weld quality, fit, or interpretation of drawings.
• Document work performed as required, including recording measurements, inspection results, or process information.

Work Environment

This position is based in a shop environment at a newly acquired facility in the Charleston/Goose Creek area. You will work around welding and fabrication equipment, handling aluminum and steel components in a production setting. Multiple shifts are available, providing scheduling options within a structured manufacturing operation. The role involves standing for extended periods, working around noise and industrial equipment, and following all safety and protective equipment guidelines appropriate for a welding and fabrication facility

This is a Contract position based out of Goose Creek, SC.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
