Job Opportunity

Provides services related to patient food service, cafeteria services and catering including set up and delivery of patient meal trays, operation of foodservice and dish room equipment, and general sanitation.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

1. Current County issued Food Handlers card or online card obtained through StateFoodSafety.com within 1 week of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assembles patient trays. Performs assigned duties on the trayline accurately and efficiently.
2. Delivers/collects patient trays to/from the patient safely and accurately.
3. Prepares and delivers nourishments to patients according to established procedures.
4. Portions food items for patients and guests according to department standards.
5. Monitors, records and maintains proper temperature control of all food products to assure food safety.
6. Labels, dates, rotates and stores all products in foodservice area.
7. Operates all food service equipment according to manufacture guidelines and in a safe manner.
8. Maintains sanitation standards and equipment is cleaned daily and in accordance to standards.
9. Attends in-service education and department meetings and adheres to hospital/department policies and procedures.
