Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2 years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a stepdown/telemetry patient population,
• Patient ratio of 1:4,
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a,
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend,
• No on-call requirements,
• Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities as needed, with agency staff floated first,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start,
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required,
• Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience preferred,
• Epic EMR experience preferred,
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care including cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response coordination,
• Skilled care may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, ventilator and tracheostomy care, and post-cardiac procedure monitoring,
• Royal blue scrub color required,
• Holiday rotation required,
• Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed,
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams,
• First-time travelers may be accepted depending on the position,
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application for consideration,
• Local candidates are not accepted; radius rule of 60 miles applies with non-local candidates prioritized
