JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that includes preventative and responsive services while fostering academic, career, and social‑emotional development. Education, Training & Experience Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or related field OR Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in counseling other than school counseling that includes a minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship with school‑aged children and their families and at least 9 semester hours of graduate credit as defined in Florida Department of Education Rule 6A-4.0181 Certificates, Licenses & Registrations Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK‑12 Benefits & Compensation Full Time, Benefit Eligible. Position may require teaching an additional period beyond base contract; additional compensation at negotiated rate in addition to base salary, paid as supplement per payroll calendar. Amount considered part of salary for Florida Retirement System. Background Screening Pasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.
