Grow with us. \n The core responsibilities of this role include Job duties include transporting and switching trailers to and from assigned areas, re-fueling and maintaining yard switch equipment to ensure proper working order. \n Position: Yard Driver (Non-DOT) \n * AM Shift: (Plant) 6am-;6:30pm, Day shift rotates on a 3-2-2 schedule \n * PM Shift: (Plant) 6pm-;6:30am, Night shift rotates on a 3-2-2 schedule. \n * AM Shift: (WHS) 6am-;6:00pm, Day shift rotates on a 3-2-2 schedule \n * PM Shift: (WHS) 6pm-;6:00am, Night shift rotates on a 3-2-2 schedule \n Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour \n PM Shift differential of $2.00/HR Monday - Thursday nights, $3.00/HR Friday -; Sunday nights. \n AM Shift Weekend differential of $1.00/HR for Saturday and Sunday shifts worked. \n \n In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience: \n * Tractor trailer experience -Ability to work outdoors in various weather \n Be part of the world's largest logistics company! Shape your world Role Purpose: Drives switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations. Makes decisions in sequencing schedule to maintain efficient loading and unloading operations. Loads and unloads trailers and verifies product count. Maintains a clean and safe docking area and reports any maintenance or safety issues to supervision. Refuels vehicles on site and documents locations and condition of equipment. Key Accountabilities: * Maintain safe and efficient dock operation by switching trailers and equipment to and from docks. * Maintains equipment fuel levels and refuels equipment during appropriate times. * Loads and unloads trucks, verifying the count and condition of product. Reports overages, shortages, and damages. * Performs daily yard checks. * Properly secures loads, ensuring loads are within local, state and federal guidelines. * Prepares and maintains accurate records and/or logs as required policies and procedures. * Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. Notifies supervision of current or anticipated repair needs. * Complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
