# Maintenance TechnicianHot JobAlbia, IA 52531## Description**Position Overview:**A Maintenance Technician at Iowa Aluminum is responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired to produce high quality aluminum products that meet or exceed standards.**Key Responsibilities:**1. **Maintenance** * Perform scheduled maintenance in all equipment, fire extinguishers, and eye wash stations. * Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly in a timely manner. * Develop maintenance procedures to reduce equipment downtime.2. **Safety:** * Follow all safety protocols and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). * Perform the Iowa Aluminum Lock Out/Tag Out program as required. * Participate in safety and job training sessions as required.3. **Record Keeping:** * Document maintenance activities, any issues encountered during the shift and report any deviations or abnormalities.4. **Team Collaboration:** * Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure repair work is completed correctly in a timely manner. * Communicate with Iowa Aluminum Team to keep them updated on repairs as needed.**Qualifications:*** **Maintenance/Technical Knowledge:** Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and welding.* **Interpersonal Skills:** Strong interpersonal abilities, with a focus on efficient and effective communication.* **Problem Solving Skills:** Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* **Organization Skills:** Ability to plan and organize maintenance schedules for repairs and projects.* **Physical Requirements:** Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
