Remote Accountant

Role Overview A Part-Time Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance Department with accounting tasks such as financial reporting, general ledger management, job costing, and assisting with month-end and year-end closes. Key Responsibilities Assist in monthly closing activities including accruals, ledger verification, and job costing reports. Perform bank reconciliations and manage intercompany balances. Handle accounts payable and receivable invoicing. Prepare monthly sales tax reports and payroll journal entries. Support special projects and maintain confidentiality in all tasks. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., SAP Business One). Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail skills. Additional Details Work is performed indoors, requiring physical mobility and use of PPE. The role demands accuracy, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Employment is contingent upon a background check, and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. No relocation assistance is provided.
