Controller | Miramar, FL | Up to $175K + 20 to 25% Bonus

A growing Aerospace company in Miramar, FL just tripled in size after acquiring two new product lines, and is now hiring a seasoned, hands-on Controller to help integrate them.

This is not a delegate-and-review role. You'll be in the general ledger, owning the month end close, digging into acquired-company data to identify questionable costs, and explaining variances directly to leadership. One staff accountant reports to you, with shared AR/AP support.

What you'll own:

• Run the show on close: journal entries, monthly reporting packages, and account analysis that leadership actually reads and trusts
\n
• Dig into the numbers behind two newly integrated product lines, spot the questionable costs before they become a problem, and know which questions to ask
\n
• Own the annual budget and monthly forecasts, not just report on them after the fact
\n
• Manage fixed assets and drive the capex request process for new equipment
\n
• Get hands-on with inventory: reserves, obsolescence, cycle counts, and the judgment calls that come with a business this size
\n
• Partner directly with Internal Audit to keep SOX controls tight without slowing the business down
\n
• Work side by side with operations leadership on margin, efficiency, and scrap analysis, the kind of work that actually moves the P&L
\n
• Build and own the standard cost structure and cost accounting policy as the business scales
\n
• Lead on reporting: build it, refine it, and know who needs to see what and when
\n

What we're looking for:

\n
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, corporate or a strong combination of public and corporate
\n
• Solid GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition (think ASC 606, work recognized over time rather than only at shipment)
\n
• Inventory accounting experience Required
\n
• CPA preferred, and a meaningful factor in how far this role can grow
\n
• Comfortable in Excel with large datasets. No macros required, just genuine analytical fluency
\n
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus given cross-border operations
\n
