Minimum 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures Make referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs Delegate tasks to support staff Qualifications Previous CVICU and NICU experience preferred Must have level 1 experience 1 year of nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required PALS (American Heart Association) required Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Basic computer skills required Facility This pediatric healthcare facility specializes in providing comprehensive medical care to children with complex health conditions.
