Forklift OperatorThis role involves operating a sit-down forklift and performing general warehouse duties in a clean facility. You work a regular schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime available. You handle palletized and non-palletized freight, support shipping and receiving activities, and follow all safety policies to ensure efficient and secure movement of materials.ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.Perform general warehouse duties, including material handling, picking, loading, order picking, inventory tasks, and shipping activities.Sort, handle, load, and unload freight using motorized and manual equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual lifting when needed.Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while working in the warehouse and on the loading dock.Safely climb in and out of trailers to access freight and ensure proper loading and unloading.Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights, including up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally.Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, including pallets, straps, and rope, to prevent damage during transit.Work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with frequent contact with service center and warehouse personnel.Essential SkillsProven ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.Experience in material handling within a warehouse or distribution environment.Ability to perform picking, loading, order picking, and general labor tasks.Capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally.Comfort with walking and standing for extended periods on a non-climate-controlled loading dock.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting with frequent interaction with warehouse and service center personnel.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in shipping and receiving operations.Experience using pallet jacks and other warehouse material handling equipment.Basic familiarity with inventory processes and documentation.Ability to secure freight using pallets, straps, and rope.Comfort working in varying and adverse weather conditions.Strong attention to detail when verifying and completing documentation and reports.Why Work Here?You join a stable, family-oriented organization with multiple locations and strong, consistent business, offering a solid long-term career path. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
